One Note camera option

How is it that the I-Pad  version of One Note has a camera option and the PC or Surface Option does not. I'm a student that uses One Note in class. While I fiddle with the camera then download the picture to One Note the guys with an I-Pad have long moved on. Microsoft is a business support oriented company yet as a Surface user I have to deal with a huge awkward process to get a picture into my notes. Quite frankly this is ridiculous.

    To whom it may concern:

It is embarrassing to hear that One Note doesn't have a camera option for Windows. Yet, your competitor Apple has a very easy to use camera option on their I-pad version. It is sad to hear that despite the pleas from so many Microsoft customers, Microsoft is not listening to their customers.

    Hi Jens,

There is no camera option available in OneNote 2016 to capture the images directly into it. However, you can insert the pictures captured/saved through Insert > Picture option.

Due to differences in platform, OneNote 2016 doesn’t have this option yet. We encourage you to post a suggestion to our OneNote UserVoice. Our developers will be able to review your feedback. It will help us deliver great products.

OneNote for Windows have an option to insert a picture from your camera. Please refer to this support article: Add a picture to a page in OneNote for Windows 10.

For more information about the difference between OneNote and OneNote 2016, please see this link.

Hope this information helps you. Feel free to post back if you have any other concerns.
