OneNote sections duplicating on sync

With reference to this post: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_onenote-mso_other/onenote-duplicates-pages-when-syncing/04cf22d1-4d28-4aef-b7a2-d221c9ab30af I seem to be having the same issue.

My company recently made OneDrive available to us. So, I "shared" a bunch of my OneNote notebooks to my OneDrive (better they be in the cloud than on my laptop, right?) I persistently get "can't sync changes" errors, and sections of my notebooks getting duplicated. This happens for all sections, not just sections I have edited. Eventually all the sections in any given notebook are duplicated. I think it's even getting to the point where I have multiple duplicates. Though I've experimented with editing my notebooks on different computers, I generally don't, and only work from one computer. I also avoid using the Web interface.

Additionally, the "original" sections keep becoming locked, and need to be converted to OneNote 2010 to be unlocked.

For reference, my laptop is on Windows 10 and I'm using OneNote 2016.

    Hi,

OneNote syncing issues were caused by an unstable Internet connection. Other examples are if you are using the desktop application and browsing the web application frequently in a short period of time. It is a good idea to keep your notebooks up to date and synchronized across your devices to avoid overwriting of data when editing.
