The save icon shows a refresh icon when its autosaving to OneDrive in Word and Powerpoint just fine, but it is not showing up in Excel. This has been tested on multiple machines. I believe its a bug within Excel.

    Hello,

We would like to know more about your concern regarding the AutoSave feature in Excel. Kindly answer the questions below:

    • When did the issue start?
    • When using the AutoSave from Excel, are the files being saved to OneDrive?

In the meantime, we suggest that you run the Online Repair for Office. It will uninstall and reinstall Office that serves as a refresher for the suite. Kindly check this article for the steps on how to run the said repair.

It was just brought to our attention today but I'm sure its been like that for awhile. We have uninstalled and reinstalled the entire Office Suite and attempted a quick repair as well as an online repair. I believe it's a bug within the program itself. We use Office 365. The documents only have the auto save feature turned on if the document is saved in OneDrive, so yes, they are saved in OneDrive.

Are you using a business email account? Are you subscribed to Office 365 for business?
