Unauthorized access

Hi,

I have recently learned of an access from a different operating system and browser into my one drive folder. I am unsure how long this activity has been going on and worried that certain information contained on one drive was accessed.

  • Please could you inform me as to whether there is any way to find a long term record of the access to an account (as I can only access the short term access record).
  • Additionally, I do use a VPN when connecting to university servers, would this perhaps change the operating system and/ or browser? Is there a way I can track the VPN to a laptop name etc.

Thank you for the help.

Regards,

    Hi,

    thanks for your help.

Unfortunately I am currently having an issue accessing my security and compliance centre, as the message I am receiving is that I cannot use my mail account to access it. I am the only member of my one drive account, so I am unsure as to how to troubleshoot this problem?

    Look forward to your response.

    Hi PlutusXii,

    Question1:

For how to check the access record of the OneDrive account, you can search audit log in the Security & Compliance Center.

For audit log time range, you can select the start date and end date to choose.

The last seven days are selected by default. The maximum date range that you can specify is 90 days. An error will be displayed if the selected date range is greater than 90 days.

For how to use it, you can refer to this article:

Search the audit log in the Office 365 Security & Compliance Center.

    Question 2:

Since our forum focuses on the Office 365 related problems, a new thread is opened to avoid the confusion and let other users in this forum refer to information clearly as well as effectively.

Please feel free to post a new thread in this forum, we will continue to help you.

    Thanks for your understanding,

    Cherry
