MS Online Project - Cannot add tasks

HELP!

I seem unable to do anything in Project.

If I create a project, select edit in browser, I cannot add a task.

I cannot add tasks under the 'tasks' side bar either.

From the Project Centre page, if I select Open>In Browser for Editing, I get the same issue.

I am an administrator, so I should have the correct permissions.

Al of the help topics describe the 'happy day' scenario, which does not help! Everything is greyed out. 

It does not make a difference if I check it in or out.

It is driving me crazy!!!

Hi Ros,

If you select Projects tab > New > Enterprise Project to create a project, then follow the steps in the section under To create a new task in an enterprise project of  Create a new task to create tasks. Please skip step 3.

If you select Projects tab > New > SharePoint Tasks List to create a project, then please check Add tasks to your project.
