Hi,

The Visio (Office 365) DB reverse engineering returned the tables info without showing the relationship between. Any advice to make the relationship show?

Thanks.

Thanks Joanne for the clarification! I look forward the Access driver update, and without the relationship fully disclosed, the reverse function was ineffective -- I could see the tables' structure with any regular db utility tool; and no need for the reverse. Please pass the message to the Visio Reverse DB team. Thanks again & happy Valentine's day!

    Hi Shawn,

    Thanks for the update.

We want to let you know that the table relationship can't be returned on our side as well. And we notice there is no Microsoft Access driver in the installed Visio drivers list, we are involving related team to check if it is an expected behavior in Visio. About the behavior that table relationship is not returned, we suggest checking it after we clarify the Microsoft Access driver question since using different drivers may affect the data that is returned to Visio. You can monitor the following thread to get the latest update about Microsoft Access driver question and we will also post back after we get more information:MS Visio PRO for Office 365/Database Reverse Engineering Add-on - Missing Database Drivers, Can't import keys from Access.

    Regards,

    Joanne

    Hi Joanne,

Here are my answers to your questions:

    1. I don't use the term "Import" as Visio was just connected to Access database.
    2. How the account page is related to the issue? It has my org, personal and licensing info under the screenshot you requested. Please point out what exact info you need from this screen and let me know if I could pm you.
    3. I was using the ODBC Generic Driver since others are for SQL server and Oracle as described.
    4. Table data from Access has sensitive PII, I could pm you too if you confirm you are authenticated official Microsoft employee.

    Thank you.

    Hi Shawn,

I would like to confirm some information to better understand your situation:

    1.  Do you import tables from Microsoft Access database or others?

    2.  Please help capture a screenshot of your Visio File tab>Account page.

    3.  Which driver do you use to import tables? Please help capture a screenshot of the Reverse Engineer Wizard window as the below picture shows:

    4.  Please help capture a screenshot of the table relationship before and after imported into Visio by using Visio Reverse Engineering.

    Regards,

    Joanne
