Automatic background Sync doesn't work.

Platforms - Windows desktop, Android

File -> Info -> View Sync Status -> "Sync automatically whenever where are changes" is enabled.

Even so, my notebooks do not sync in the background even while Onenote is open.  I have to select the notebook before the sync starts, which then requires me to wait several minutes before I can read my note that I wrote last night on a different device.  Bear in mind that onenote has been running in the background all day and did not feel the need to sync it.

I don't know if you think that this is acceptable behavior, but I can assure you that it isn't.

    Hello,

    There are a few reasons why your OneNote is not syncing. For us to narrow it down, kindly answer the questions listed below:

    • Is the issue being experienced on all of your notebooks or just a specific notebook?
    • Are you experiencing this issue on all pages or just a specific page?
    • Are you also experiencing this on other Office files?
