What the hell does this mean? Is it because of the new year or what?

    Hi John,

Application error, Expired or inactive Office subscription, and profile related issue are a few of the possible reasons why you are getting this error message. To isolate your concern, we need you to answer the following:

    • Which build and version of Office are you using? Click here for instructions on how to find your Office build and version.
    • Which Windows build and version are you using? Click here for instructions on how to find your Windows build and version.
    • Are you experiencing the same issue when accessing other Office applications?
    • Is your computer connected to a domain?
    • Are you installing Office to multiple devices?
    • Did you make any changes before this issue happened?

In the meantime, try checking the Office program that’s active on your account by logging in to Office.com/myaccount and going to the Services & subscriptions tab.

We will be waiting for your response.
