link a BE database to FE database within a shared drive

Hi, 

We are now asked to put our file into the shared drive but I do not know how to link my FE to my BE? Before it just opened the library and you searched for the BE file but I cant find the file because its not within the library?

Can you help please..

    If you want to link data to a SharePoint list, you can refer to this article for detailed information.

    If above doesn't help, please provide the following information:

    1.For "but when I click on a new location it does not display the SharePoint so I really do not know how to  link the back end without seeing it in the library"

    Please provide related screenshots.

    Hi Bill sorry for the delay. 

     Currently at the back end of My database is stored on the u  drive and this is easy to link to my FEbut now my company want to do do away with the u drive and use SharePoint.but when I click on a new location it does not display the SharePoint so I really do not know how to  link the back end without seeing it in the library.and I must say I do not know much about SharePoint.

    First thing you need to do is find the back end file. If you don't know where it is ask your IT department to search for it. Once you have its location, open the Linked table manager in the FE. Check the box in the lower corner that says "prompt for new location". Then select all BE tables in the manager box and click OK. That should prompt you to point to the BE file location.
