Sharepoint list web page automatic refresh

Is there a way to have a list automatically refresh if the user does not leave a lists page so that they can she new list items pop up ?

Based on my test, when an item is added to a list, the list is refreshed automatically and the item appears.

That isn't correct "if the user does not leave a lists page" as the op said. The new items would only show for the user adding them. Another user would have to refresh the page to see new items added. Or you can add a script or meta refresh tag to automatically refresh the page periodically (classic sites only).

Thanks for the clarification. I assumed OP means, when the item is added by the users, the list does not refresh for them. So, I gave the answer based on my test, as it would refresh the list when I add the items.

Now that you have clarified, I agree the list will not auto refresh for User B when the item is added by User A.
