Filter Based on a Dropdown Selection - EXCEL 2010

Is this even possible?

Based on my selection in a drop down I created I need it to filter items in another tab.

More specifically-

Drop down cell:

Tab=PDC

Cell=E19

Range that would need to be filtered based on the selection in Tab=PDC, Cell=E19:

Tab:IRR

Cell Range: B10:B401

Is this possible?

Any help is appreciated.

    Hi,

    I cannot understand your requirement.  You do not need to share your actual data.  Just dummy your actual data and then share the download link of that file.

    Hi,

    Do you want to filter the list in place?  Would it be OK if the entries in range B10:B401 which have the word Green are copies to another worksheet?

    Also, share some data.

    Thank you again for your prompt reply.

    My apologies, but the data is not something I can share.

    I want the selection of the drop down (data validation list) on the 1st tab (PDC cell E19) to then filter the data in the table in the 2nd tab.

    The 2nd tab has a table of data, but just like the filter option, I need it to filter out everything except the selection from the drop down selection.

    Hope this helps

    Thank you for replying!

    To provide additional information, I have a drop down in Tab=PDC Cell=E19. The drop down, for example, has the following options:

    -red

    -blue

    -green

    Now if the end user uses that drop down and selects "green", I want it to filter

    Tab:IRR Cell Range: B10:B401 for "green" only.
