Repair Now Error

Question

I keep receiving a error message stating " We're sorry, but Word had run into an error that is preventing it from working correctly. Word will need to be closed as a result. Would you like us to repair now?" When I say Repair now it only shuts down but nothing is repairing. What do I do?

Hi Jacquilyn,

follow these steps to perform a full repair of your Office installation . . .

Open Control Panel - Programs and Features

Click Microsoft Office in the list of installed applications

At the top, click 'Change'

On the resulting dialog, click 'Repair' - try the Quick Repair first and check to see if this is resolved, if not, choose the Online Repair, it is a comprehensive fix

That should fix any issues with your Office Installation . . .

I'd suggest doing an online repair of the installation. That should fix it.
