Powerpoint won't save changes

Whenever I have an already saved powerpoint, and go to make changes, I cannot save any changes.

Clicking the save icon will not save changes.

When I go to exit out of powerpoint, I click the prompt to save changes. But this will not save the changes either.

The only way I have found around this issue is restarting my computer - which is a hassle since I'm using up 10 powerpoints a day.

I have a 2015 MacBook Pro updated to macOS High Sierra. PowerPopint is version 16.17.

I am using iOS High Sierra - version 10.13.6

The issue has been going on for about 2 weeks. I've tried updating PP, reinstalling it, and creating a new user profile.

    Hi Emma,

Thanks for the query and we are here to assist you on this.

Based on my test, I didn’t meet the issue on our side.

I suggest you try safe mode to check the result.

Besides, you can create a new user profile to check if you can save the file.

If the issue still exist, please provide the following information:

    1. The OS version. (Click Apple icon>select About the Mac)
    2. When did the issue occur? Which operation have you taken before the issue occurred, such as updating Office?

    3.  Confirm if you need to restart computer every time when you save every file.

    Regards

    Qing
