Do you have macros in your PowerPoint? If not, save as a pptx file.
Unable to delete slide in Powerpoint
When I try to delete a particular slide in my *.pptm file, an error message pops up saying - "Powerpoint can't start this feature because you currently have a Visual Basic for Applications project in break mode.
The slide is a blank slide and has nothing in it. I am able to delete other slides though.

Close PPT and open just the pptx saved file.
Can you delete now?
If YES then it's probable a bug in your code
If you still can't it's probably code in an AddIn.
