Format Text Effect - Shadow Transparency

When working in PowerPoint Professional Plus 2016, I like for the shadows of my text to be at zero percent transparency. The program, however, defaults to 57%. Is it possible to change the default setting so my shadows start at at zero percent on every new PPT presentation? If it's possible, what steps do I take to set it that way? I'm assuming it might be similar to changing the .dotx file in Word, but am not sure.

Thanks.

You should be able to do that making your own custom default template:

In this article they talk about changing the font in a master slide. Just change that to apply it to the shadow setting you want
