Hi SilverLakeAxis,

May I know how you update the membership of a group? As far as I know, if you’re the owner of a group, there are several ways for you to modify the membership of the group.

You can do it in Office 365 Admin center > Groups > Double click the Group you want to update > Click the Edit button next to Owners entry.

You can also update the membership of a group in Outlook by following the article below:

So, I’d like to confirm how you update the membership of a group and what the type of that group is(Office 365 group/DG/SG). Besides, is there any error message? If so, please show us about it with a screenshot.
