    Hi Linda,

I am willing to help you resolve the issue.

To better understand your situation and help you, could you please provide the following information?

    1. Details about your workbook with related data and formulas.
    2. Which latest version you were using when you encounter the issue?
    3. What Office version you are using now, which you refer to "an older version"?

    Regards,

    Yoga

Which update? To Windows or Office?

Exactly which version of each do you currently have with the problem

Although MS does not tell you, when you are asking for help, we really do need to know specific the Windows (or Office) Version AND Build numbers you are running.

Contrary to MS's wishful thinking, we are all NOT running the "most recent" version (actually Version AND BUILD!) . Individual recurring, (obviously unfixed) Windows update errors cause people to be running older versions and builds. We commonly see people running versions of Windows that have fallen out of support because they are 18 months old due to unfixed update errors during that span of time.

******* PLEASE PROVIDE FULL VERSION AND BUILD NUMBERS *******

Open the Run dialog using the <WIN><R> shortcut

    Type; WINVER

    Press <enter>

    The WinVer dialog is displayed.

Report the Version and Build numbers.

(Only) If you are having Office problems:

In any Office 365/2016/2013 application go to:

File menu > Account command > About section

    ie Version 1803 Build 9126.2116

    Office 2010

File menu > Help command > About section

    ie 14.0.7197.5000

If you want to check for yourself:

MS SUMMARY of Windows VERSION AND BUILD NUMBER RELEASE DATES

Skip past the “Windows 10 current versions by servicing option” section (it’s just too confusing), go to the “Windows 10 release history” immediately below

    WIN10 VERSION AND BUILD NUMBERS

    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4093112

MS documentation for Build releases. Go to Place for official info about specific changes made in the builds

Detailed Build numbers only: https://buildfeed.net/ (updated frequently as MS releases development builds)

What are the formulas or specific function that no longer work?

Yesterday I saw a similar question, about a function that stopped working after an update. Sorry, I don't recall the specific function.

Please create a simple example worksheet to demonstrate the failure. Upload it to your OneDrive and give us a Share / Edit link to it.

Include screen captures of the function working and in error.

Finally, you should also submit this as a bug report using the MS Feedback process:

    .

    ********************************

    ***************************************************

    ********************************

Send Bug Reports and Feature Requests (and even Rants <G>) to MS Developers and Managers using the Feedback Hub:

LAUNCH FEEDBACK HUB VIA <WIN><F> Shortcut

“Official” MS does not pay much attention to this forum. However, you now can send your complaints, bug reports and feature requests directly to MS developers and managers using the “Feedback” process described in this link:

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/for...

Please post a share link to your feedback, back here, so other people who find your question will be able to vote for it and add their comments to it.

Some users have reported problems with version 16.9 and higher of Office. Office for the Mac has undergone dramatic changes in Office 2016/365. Developers are trying hard to make the Mac and Windows versions have the same or equivalent features. They are making real progress. However, fixing one thing sometimes breaks others.

You can use the User Feedback feature to let them know if they've broken something. There may be a fix coming soon. I’d suggest checking for updates - it may take several tries for Office to recognize that there is an update, so try checking a few times.

In the meantime, I suggest using a previous version or update until it is fixed.

To do that, you’ll need to uninstall the current version, download the old version, and install it.

Here are the instructions on how to uninstall for Mac:
