A co-worker's computer deleted her onedrive files which synced with sharepoint, deleting the sharepoint online folders.
This is a recount of what happened that might be related to the deletion, when she came back from her weekend vacation, she turned on her computer and experienced her computer freezing. After that, she did not notice that the files were missing. on monday morning. us that are synced in the onedrive noticed that onedrive files are unsyncing because of a notification that is prompting that a folder has been deleted. this happened for every folder that was deleted on sharedpoint.
now, upon looking at it. i found that there is a recycle bin in sharepoint.
so what I did was.
I tried restoring all files in the sharepoint recycle bin. It was not succesful
I asked my co-worker to check her recycle bin from her computer, she had the files that was deleted on onedrive show on her recycle bin.
So I asked again for her to restore it.
After a while she encounters the resetting of one drive and multiple icon on her system tray. tried the FIX (from ms answers), it did not work
Now, Here are my issues:
First, I cannot restore multiple files, for example, around 6000 files in one go. it always failed, and in the status, it would say that it was "canceled"
next is while restoring by folder or at least doing it one at a time. I am encountering this on some files. "X items were not restored" then when I look at the status or the files that was not restored. below the file is a warning label in red that says "Value does not fall within the expected range"

Hi John Pielago
Thanks for posting in community. You may refer to this article to restore items in in the Recycle Bin of a SharePoint site.
Meanwhile, here is an article about Restrictions and limitations when you sync SharePoint libraries to your computer through OneDrive for Business. You may check on that.

Did you get this fixed? I'm trying to restore 60,000 files an employee managed to delete and the GUI is restrictive. I've tried doing 100 or so files at a time and I've tried 20,000 files at a time (it took literally hours to scroll down and then back up and select all). But I get time out errors or the "value does not fall..." error or just unsuccessful errors whether I select 100 files or 20,000. It is working slowly (I've restored 21Gb out of 230Gb) but its cumbersome and impossible to trust the information you getback form the operation. I have seen some Powershell for on premise Sharepoint to restore all files deleted by a user (https://gallery.technet.microsoft.com/office/Restore-all-filesitemslists-800ba49a/view/Discussions#content) but I have not been able to figure out how to get it to work on Sharepoint Online.
