Unable to delete SharePoint Online site

Hi, 

I have exactly the same issue as :

I cannot delete a sharepoint online site from a Site collection using : Remove-SPOSite

Remove-SPOSite : Fichier introuvable. (file not found)

I've succeed to remove other site from this site collection but not this one.

When I go on my site url I've got : 404 FILE NOT FOUND

and when I Get-SPOSite -filter {Url -like "myUrlFilter"} my site is in the list with my Admin as owner.

Any advise or help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi François,

To investigate the issue, we would like to confirm the following information:

1. Are you trying to delete a classic SharePoint site or Office 365 group site?
2. Did you try deleting the site from browser? For detail information, please see Delete a SharePoint site or subsite.
3. If there’s another owner of the site, please check with him/her if they can delete the site from browser or using PowerShell command.
4. When you try to access the site from browser, you get 404 FILE NOT FOUND error. Correct? Could you please provide the complete screenshot?

Hi Neha, 

1. I'm trying to delete a communication Sharepoint site.
2. I' m trying to delete the site with windows Powershell command. (and I tried from my browser too).
3. There is two Admins for this tenant.

   I've got this issue with 3 other site, but other site from the same collection are working great.

Hi François,

If you receive the error 404 FILE NOT FOUND when visiting the site in browser, that means the site is already deleted. The site you are trying to delete is already deleted and that why you are getting the error Fichier introuvable (File not found) in PowerShell.

Here’s an example

Using Windows PowerShell, I deleted a communication site. The name of the site is simply Communication Site and it was successfully deleted.

Few minutes later, I again followed the same steps to delete the same site and I received the same error which you mentioned in your post.

This is the error I receive in browser.

To verify if the site is deleted successfully, try Get-SPODeletedSite cmdlet in PowerShell.

Hi Neha, 

I understand why I cannot delete a site that is already deleted but my issue is that when I try to delete it I got the error, but the site is still in the  list of my site :

When I do a GetSPO-DeletedSite I get : 

And When I try to do a provisioning of my site it does not work and I get this error :
