Hello Guys,

Needed a small help. I created a Notebook and shared it via e-mail permission. The problem i am facing is as follows:

  1. The person with home i have shared the notebook with 'can edit right' whenever excess the excel spreadsheet it makes a copy on his end.

What i mean to say is, the files name is Dorner Main - Vikas(8). Whenever the person whom the notebook is shared with open up this spreadsheet it opens like Dorner Main - Vikas(8)1,  Dorner Main - Vikas(8)2, Dorner Main - Vikas(8)3 and so on.

Shouldn't it be directly saving without making 1,2,3,4....copies?

Please see the highlighted image above and advice accordingly since the one note is crashing aswell due to this.

Really need your help with this!!!!!!!

Thanks in advance!

Vikas

You have already done the repair online. Tell me the result. My wife continued to test this error that you share with me.

    Hello

I understand what is happening but first I would like you to share information about where I created the file if it was on the web or in the desktop application and what version it has.

Anyway I want to share the following information that specifies some requirements when sharing or opening a shared file.

    Who can see my notebooks?

Although OneNote files are stored online, they are private unless you decide otherwise. When you open shared notebooks in OneDrive or in SharePoint, OneNote will automatically respect the permissions that you set for the folders that contain the notebook files.

What kind of notebook files can I open in OneNote and where can I store them?

With OneNote you can store and synchronize notebooks in a OneDrive account or on a SharePoint server. OneDrive is a free cloud-based storage option that is ideal for personal use, while SharePoint is typically used in large organizations. Notepads that you create in OneNote are automatically stored in OneDrive. If you want to create notebooks in SharePoint or in Office 365, you must first create them with the desktop version of OneNote.

OneNote supports notebooks that have the OneNote 2010-2013 format. Notepads created with older OneNote desktop versions, such as OneNote 2007 or OneNote 2003, must first be converted to the 2010-2013 file format in order to open and read them in OneNote. The desktop version of OneNote allows you to convert notebooks. For more information, see Open or create notebooks in OneNote.

The content that I shared in OneNote with access to Share is not seen in the other devices.

OneNote may not yet be able to synchronize the notes. Try starting OneNote again and synchronize the notebook manually.

    Confirm if the documentation helped.
