Triangle in margin

How do I eliminate gray triangle (below) in left margin of Word, that follows cursor?

Hi R, can you please try this

Select a line of text with that arrow to the left, then right click the text and choose Paragraph - check the box marked 'Collapsed by default' then click 'Apply' and OK

Does the text under that line collapse?

    The style is normal, no header. When I right click on triangle there are no options but when I left click on triangle it rotates & turns into an outline & remains on page.  Rotated triangle outline is not on page when I print out. Some sort of marker?

    Hi R, is that text formatted as a Header?

    That triangle is normally found on a header, where you can click the triangle to expand the paragraph text of the header . . .

    Select that text and make sure in Styles it is not formatted as a header . . .

    Triangle is always in left margin and follows mouse when I move it up & down.  It only happens in one page of my Word doc.
