Container resizing issue after adding data graphics

Dear all,

I came across a strange behaviour trying to resize a container. Everything works as expected as long as no data graphics are added to the container.

Once the data graphics are added resizing by the corners of the container works as expected but other handles don't work (see linked video).

I spent our of manipulating various shapesheet parameters but no success so far.

Any thoughts on that?

Here is the Video:

Please follow the steps below:

  1. Click the File tab > Options.
  2. In the Visio Options dialog box, click Advanced > General, select "Run in developer mode", to enable ShapeSheet feature.
  3. Then right click on the container, select "Show ShapeSheet".
  4. Set the value of the following user-defined cell:

    User.msvLayoutIncludeSubshapes = GUARD(FALSE)

    Hi Jim,

a colleague of mine, who previously had the same issue, did an update to v1805 and reported that it now works fine.

Unfortunately, it seems that due to company security rules I am unable to update my version.

As soon as I've an update installed, I will get back to you.

    Best regards,

    Ben

    Hi Qing,

Visio says Version 1802 (Build 9029.2253)

I first came across this a couple of month ago. But it was less of a priority as it is now.

    Thanks,

    Ben

    Hi Benjamin,

Thanks for posting on our forum.

To narrow down the issue, could you please provide the following information?

    1. The version of Visio. (Click File>select Account)
    2. Confirm if you meet the issue before.

    Thanks,

    Qing
