e.split is not a function error in SharePoint Online (Moving files from a Folder to another one)

Hi,

I'm working with SharePoint Migration Tool to move some information from our servers on to a library in SharePoint Online, as unfortuatelly the SPTool does not currently allows to move files inside a subfolder inside a library (hope it does soon), I need to move the folders (huge ones), in to another subfolders inside the SPOnline Library.

That's when sometimes (more often than just 1 or 2 times) the error "e.split" appears, and some other times, it's the error "timeout" appears.

I saw a January'18 question with its answer as validated, as I have tested with some different navigators (IE, Chrome, Firefox and Edge....with/without private mode in all cases) and error appears, and because I've seen this question is currently closed, I decide to open a new Post on this topic as I'm not happy with the approved answer.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Thank & regards.

    Hi BroxCJ,

    Is there any update?

Have you tried to move the folder in OneDrive local sync folder or File Explorer?

    Best Regards,

    Gloria

    Hi BroxCJ,

As you mentioned that the the folder you moved is huge, please try to do the moving locally instead of online:

    1. Move the folder in OneDrive local sync folder.

Please try to first sync the library to local drive using OneDrive sync client and just do the copy paste in different folder.

(We suggest you do the copy paste instead of cut to avoid data loss)

    1. Move the folder with Open in File Explorer in Internet Explorer.

Open Internet Explorer and sign into SharePoint> Open in Explorer or View with File Explorer in SharePoint

(The Open in File Explorer is only available in Internet Explorer)

If you do the local moving and the error message appears again, please capture a screenshot of it and share it with me.

    Best Regards,

    Gloria
