Cursor arrow points wrong way in Table

For 30 years, when you wanted to select a box in a Table you would hover the cursor just inside the left rule of the box and the cursor arrow would point in towards the box, you would then click, and the whole contents of that box would be selected.

Now, when you hover the cursor just inside the left rule of a Table box, the cursor arrow points outwards. It does still select the contents of the box, but it feels really awkward.

Is it supposed to still point inwards?

I'm currently using v16.15 [180701]

This is simply a design change in the UI... Whether it's intentional or inadvertent I have no idea :-) If you find it to be problematic don't hesitate to use the ☺︎ at the right end of a document title bar to submit your remarks.

NB: I'm afraid Cliff seems to think you're referring to Text Boxes rather than Table Cells.

Of course, I should have said 'Cell', my apologies!

And I'd also forgotten about the smiley in the masthead to send feedback.

    Must be my age.

Thanks for confirming the arrow thing is not just another faulty memory.....!

    Hi Nislander14,

Do you point to the feature below? If yes, you can select the text box and click Text Options to edit the text color or select the text to edit its font.

So about the behavior you are talking about, could you upload some related screenshots for our clarification?

Note: Remove any private information before uploading the screenshots.

    Thanks,

    Cliff
