Delve information update

Question

Good Morning, I'm Gabriel Soto and currently working using Office 365 on my organization. I have a question:

I want to implement a birthday reminder using Delve, Flow and Sharepoint. Nonetheless, I would like to be able to change my entire organization's information about their birthdays, because it only have their names and emails. Is there another way to add the birthday information without the user being involved?

Thanks for the query.

First of all, if you would like to involve Flow to achieve your requirements, as there is a dedicated Flow community,I would like to suggest posting a new thread there for professional support. The Flow engineers there will assist you to get to the bottom of it.

Meanwhile, from your description, I assume you are admin. If it is the case, or with the admin's assistance, we can perform the below steps to update Birthday field:

1. Go to Office 365 admin center> Show all > Admin centers in the left pane > SharePoint.
2. Click user profile sin SharePoint admin center > Manage User Profilesunder People> Find the profile  > right click on the search result > click Edit My Profile > press Ctrl + F to look for Birthday field and then edit it.

Let me know if there is any misunderstanding on my side with some illustrative pictures and explanation.

Hello Tina,

I'm happy for your reply. Well, I have tested different scenarios where I can change my users profile picture:

1. Through AAD: First I enter the AAD and change my user profile picture. 1 day after, it updates in the Office 365 Admin Center user information and immediately it changes across the Office 365 apps. Nonetheless, it didn't changed the Delve Profile Picture.
2. Through Office 365 Admin center: I think this way is the best. While in the admin center, I could change my user profile picture. Immediately it updated the user's Delve profile picture. I think it took maybe 1 day or it changed immediately the picture throughout the office apps. Finally it changed the user's AAD information 3 days after.

I would choose option #2 because it changes everything. But I would like to know, why in option #1, it didn't changed the Delve Profile Picture?

2- Is there a way to add/change birthday data in the AAD of an user?

No.

For profile picture synchronization in Offce 365, there are different scenarios and please check this article to see procedures and sequences.

1. SharePoint Online picture synchronization for users who have an Exchange Online mailbox

2. SharePoint Online picture synchronization for users without an Exchange Online mailbox

Awesome! This way I can edit the other's information inside my organization. If I do this edit through the Sharepoint admin center, this information is going to be edited too in Delve? I'm asking this because directly through Delve I can't edit other user's Birthday info and I would like this information to be available too there.
