Windows 10 Word issue: Error 1007

I am using word on windows 10 and an error message cannot be cleared from my writing screen. It says that my document cannot be downloaded to the cloud and asks me to click to solve. Did this, updated password, tried everything. It comes up with error message 1007.

But, when I look at my cloud documents, the document appears. I'm worried it's not being saved and annoyed that this orange warning line above my writing cannot be cleared. It is distracting.

Please respond.

Hi Alex,

I saved the document in a new file and when I finally remembered to restart the program, the problem was gone.

Thanks for your help.

Jeanne

Hi Jeanne,

First, you could save a copy of the document first to prevent data loss. If you worried about the document, you could open and check it in OneDrive  Online. Sign in to Portal: portal.office.com > Click OneDirve icon and find the document you are working on and open it online.

For the issue, we suggest sigh out from Word first and sign in again see if the issue persists.

And for further troubleshooting, could you share us a screenshot of the error message? We also hope you could share the Version of Word(Word > File > Account) and Version of Windows(Press Windows key + R, input winver) you are using.

Regards,

Alex
