No "Delete Comment" on Right Click

I recently upgraded to Word 365. In my document I needed to delete a comment. I put my cursor within the square brackets of the comment (green circle of picture below), right click to get the drop down, but I can't find the "Delete Comment" choice -- only a "New Comment" choice (red circle). Where did the Delete go?:

    Hi Kdlsmith,

    Thanks for your reply.

I have tested from my side and when I select "Show All Revisions Inline", following all the ways I can delete the comments:

    1. Review tab> Tracking field> Select "Reviewing Pane" to open the Revision pane> Right click the comments in Revisions pane to delete them.
    2. Review tab> Tracking field> Choose Simple Markup> Comments field> Unselect "Show Comments".

You will see some blue comment icons at the end of lines, click it and it will open a dialog box which contains all the comments in this line.

When you select the one comment, the word will be highlighted, you can right click the comments in the popping up box to delete them.

If the workarounds are still not convenient for you, we would like to suggest you click the smile face in Word application and send a feedback to the product team. You can also leave a comment to Word UserVoice.

    Thanks for your understanding.

    Best Regards,

    Gloria

    Hi Kdlsmith,

You can click the Review tab and select "All Markup" in Tracking field and click "Show Markup" to select comments.

Then you will see the comments appearing in the right pane, you can right click the comments to delete them now.

Or you can select the comment and click delete in Review tab:

If it still doesn't work for you, please share your Office product name and version refer to this article: What version of Office am I using?

    Best Regards,

    Gloria

    Gloria,

Thank you for the response and your suggestion. According to my account, I am running "Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus" with Version 1808.

I verified that my "All Markup" was active and that I had my Comments selected. However, as the image below shows, I am still not able to Right Click context and either delete or edit my comment using the right click mouse action.

While the ribbon option is always available, all my reading would leave me to believe that right clicking on a comment should bring up a context menu that doesn't seem to be working.

But perhaps I misunderstood your instructions.

It appears in the screen shot that you're right-clicking in the body text to which the comment is attached. That's why you're getting the same context menu that you'd get from right-clicking anywhere else in the body text.

Instead, right-click in the comment balloon. Then you'll get this context menu instead:

Jay, thank you for the reply.

[edit]: I view my markup as "Show All Revisions Inline", so I do not have access to the balloon. (I am hoping I am now not going to be forced to view comments how the program wants me to as opposed to what is useful to me.)

I have tried to restart my computer. I have tried clicking everywhere and the context menu just doesn't seem to activate. Below is an explanation of where I clicked (I also clicked on the pink bit, but that didn't bring up the menu).
