OneNote Web Clipper doesn't transfer images, replaces them with a red X

Dear Community,

everytime I try to use the webclipper to copy a website as an article to OneNote, every image is replaced with a red X.

The only way to get websites with pictures to OneNote is by chossing "whole site" or if I select a frame myself.

I testet this on both Firefox 59.0.2 x64 with WebClipper 3.7.7 and Edge, it's always the same result: no images if I want just the article.

I also checked, if the images appear in OneNote Online, maybe there's a fault with my OneNote installation, but it's the same in the cloud, except das the red Xs are shown as white X in a black frame.

Is this feature just broken for me or does anyone know how to fix that?

Best wishes

Matt

    Hi Zixuan,

thanks for your quick reply. I didn't get an answer notification, so just checked for news to my thread.

I tried snipping the website you tried, and it worked like a charm.

So I tried some other websites, seems like the Webclipper works really well, but with this site:

    https://practical365.com/sharepoint-online/automated-user-creation-flow-powerapps/

I followed every step you suggestet, but the outcome is still the same.

Could you please try to snip this website as well?

    Regards,

    Matt

    Hi Matt,

I tested with Microsoft Edge (40.15063.674.0) and OneNote Web Clipper(3.7.7), and the picture displays normally when I clip it. The following is my screenshot:

This is the URL I clipped form: https://products.office.com/en-us/products. You may try to clip from this link to check whether it is related to the specific URL.

If the behavior persists, could you try the following methods to see whether they are the helpful:

1.Please capture a screenshot like above on your end.

2.Please clear your browser cache to see the outcome.

3.Please uninstall the OneNote Web clipper extension and reinstall it again to see the outcome.

    Regards,

    Zixuan
