    Hi,

I understand your frustration. However, this forum is for peer-to-peer support on use of Word. You need to contact AVG support. Here are a couple of starting links.

I would get rid of AVG antivirus and rely on WIndows Defender and use a little bit of common sense.

The reason that I am still a pauper, but have a computer that does not give me any problems is because I ignore all of the email messages asking for my assistance with currency transactions worth billions of dollars.  Just plain common sense

    Hi Marr,

That is unusual, Word of course is not a virus. You should open AVG and add an exception for the WINWORD.exe executable, to let Word bypass AVG . . .

Sounds like a false positive. I would check AVG for recent or pending updates.
