Admin options for Sway?

We have been using Sway to distribute newsletter type presentations across our organization but have found a few issues linked to the ownership of the sways especially around visibility of who is using the service, globally reporting on access and views and accessing the Sways after users have left.

Are there any options for O365 Global Admins to manage Sway and be able to :

  • see who created sways or how many sways have been created by all users ?

 - the analytics for sways created by all users?

  • what quota has been used ?
  • recover Sways for users whose account has been blocked/deleted (leavers)?

Thanks

    Hi Chrys,

Admins have access to an audit feature which allows them to look through some logs to be able to determine who created it and when.  See this article - https://docs.microsoft.com/office365/securitycompliance/search-the-audit-log-in-security-and-compliance

There is no way for admins to access globally aggregated data for things like how many Sways have been created/viewed.  There is no quota related to Sway; Sways do not count against O365 storage.

Once a user has been deleted, admins can move their Sways to another user's account.  See this article - https://support.office.com/article/reassign-sways-from-a-deleted-user-account-admin-help-9580e618-3c3e-4d28-a6ef-74c00a997248

Let us know if you have further questions.

    Jason
