Bar code font 218 on labels

I am now hearing that the client cannot scan the bar code, after many months. Is it a printer cleaning thing, or do I have to do more than place the bar code on the label? If so, how is this done?

    There are several different bar code fonts. You need to find out what the client's readers are coded for. They are not all the same, some may require check digits etc. The client needs to tell you what their readers need.
