I am trying to export a file from Smart Notebook  to PowerPoint and it is not compatible with the new version. I need 2016. How can I access that to install it?

    Hi Jeremie,

Thank you for posting in our forum. We assume that you are using Office 365. Can you confirm it? If yes, downgrading is not possible. You can follow John's suggestion to get a copy of Office 2016 from a retailer.

Let us know if you need any further information.

    Regards,

    Justin

Office 2016 is no longer available from Microsoft, but you may still be able to get a copy from an online retailer.

You can buy it's successor, Office 2019 online, or you can subscribe to Office 365. Here's a 30-day free trial for the 365 subscription version: Try Office 365 for free

I'm so sorry I didn't give enough information. I am a first-grade teacher and so these things are not my forte.

I currently have Smart Notebook 18, which is an educational program that works with SmartBoards.. When I click on "Export to Powerpoint" I get an error message that reads "You must install PowerPoint software to export to this format". I checked to make sure it was installed on my Surface Pro, and it is. I called Smart Notebook today to ask for help and they told me that Smart Notebook isn't compatible with the newest version of PowerPoint and that I'd need to use PowerPoint 16.

You're assuming we know all about your situation.

Googling Smart Notebook gets me 11 versions: Smart Notebook. Care to narrow this down to one of these?

The new version is PowerPoint 2019, not 2016.

All presentations are forwards compatible, so tell us why you think your deck is not.

    Details, please!
