Adding Hyperlinks to a Slide Master

I am trying to add a hyperlinks to a slide master that will allow travel between presentation slides (so the presenter can switch from one slide to another without having to click past other slides to get there).  I have not been able to figure out a way of doing this (I can add them to the presentation slides, but am not able to do so on the slide master).  Any help is much appreciated!

    You can certainly do this.  How exactly are you trying to do it  ... what steps do you follow?

    And what happens that shouldn't/what doesn't happen that should?
