Syncing On premise users to cloud

Dear All,

I have created users in office 365 portal.

Now i plan on  using adsync to sync my on prem AD to cloud. I have few questions.

  1. Lets say i have created user jacob in cloud. Now i want to sync my on premise AD with cloud. User jacob is also present in my

AD. Then will i be able to sync Jacobs account in office portal with that of his AD account?

  1. After the AD sync, if i need to set up a hybrid environment that is setup on premise exchange, will that be possible?

Hi Sandeep,

Yes. If you want to sync the users between On Premise and Office 365 cloud, you can use Office 365 SMTP match during AAD Connect. For more information, you can refer to https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help/2641663/how-to-use-smtp-matching-to-match-on-premises-user-accounts-to-office. 

Also, you can use Exchange Server to set up Hybrid mode later.
