OneNote Notebook missing after update

I've been taking notes in a specific notebook for a few months. I opened OneNote today and I cannot access it. I attempted to find it on my computer and it wasn't there. I attempted to open the notebook, and it had 2 copies of it, then somehow one of them wouldn't open, and ended up disappearing.  Now I just have an empty notebook with the same name. I really need this back because it has my notes for all of my classes, and I have midterms this and next week. How can I fix this?
