EXCEL-UNAUTHORIZED CHANGES BLOCKED

I am not computer savy at all. Be gentle. Whenever I go into most EXCEL programs I initially get an UNAUTHORIZED CHANGES BLOCKED message. The program opens but when I try to save changes I get a drop down with a short list of reasons why I can't save them. Is there a way I can tell computer/office that all EXCELS are OK

I got as far as allowing an APP but I can't find the app when I click the plus button.

    Hi Bill

Controlled folder access is going to be a great feature in Windows 10 in the battle against malware like CryptoLocker . . . etc.

    Open Windows Defender Security Center

Go to Virus & threat protection - Virus & threat protection settings

Scroll down to Controlled folder access

From there, you can add an app to the list of safe or allowed apps to prevent them from being blocked

Add Excel to the lost of allowed apps and see if that resolves this for you . . .
