That Slicer in 2010 works for Pivot Tables and CUBE functions only.
The Slicers button you expect is available in 2013 and above in the Table Design tab.

I am using Win 10 - Microsoft excel 2010
I have data and already convert it to table. I want to slice it, but when I choose the "Slicer" button, only a gray table appears, notifying that there are no connections on my worksheet or computer.
I have searched for help but cannot find the answer.

Thank you, Andrea.
I was so confused, because according to this link: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/use-slicers-to-filter-data-249f966b-a9d5-4b0f-b31a-12651785d29d, it says that the slicer function could be applied on Excel 2010 and even instructs me to convert my data into table to use it.

Yes, the article is a bit misleading, but it's still valid ... but only for a Pivot Table which support Slicers in Excel 2010.
