Delete posts from a site feed

The issue referenced here was never fixed:

https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_o365admin/delete-a-post-from-a-sites-news-feed/b66dcd5c-3b2d-4a38-a3d8-54d81436f33f

It's totally ridiculous that a site owner still can't delete posts by others. I have posts by users who are no longer with the company - so I'm not even sure if the global admin can access them to delete their posts - why are they still displayed?

Can I delete the microfeed list and recreate it in a site?

    Hi Webbrewers3,

I didn’t find any documentation mentioned what level of access is needed to manage other people’s Newsfeed posts. According to my test, I can delete the posts with a SharePoint admin account. (Tested with two SharePoint admin accounts, both can delete without problem.)

    Thanks,

    Ran

Please explain in detail why you think the browser would make a difference? What level of access is needed to manage other people's newsfeed posts?

    Hi Webbrewers3,

I just tested on my side and it works fine. To better understand the situation, could you please provide the following information for us?

    1. Have you tried in other browsers?
    2. Were you deleting the posts from the same Newsfeed?
    3. Please try with another SharePoint admin account to see if you encounter the same issue.

    Thanks,

    Ran

Reopening this because I was able to clean up a list last week when logged in as SP [not global] admin. When I go to do the same thing, I get access denied  to delete items from others. So this is broken and needs fixing,

Never mind, I was able to delete posts by others when logged in with my SP admin id. The documentation for this needs to be improved - I shouldn't have to waste my time sorting out Msft's sloppy implementations.
