It would be convenient because I end up with too many open files at times.   Thank you.

While Justin's correct, there's another trick that might help.

Start with one main presentation; it might be nothing more than a single slide listing each of the topics in your overall message.

Each of the topics (text box, shape, whatever) has a Hyperlink Action setting pointing to the presentation that covers that topic.

When clicked during a slide show, the topic presentation will open then quit when it gets to the end; or you can include an End Show action setting wherever you think you might want to end it yourself.  Once the show ends, the presentation closes and leaves you back at the main presentation.

There will never be more than two presentations open and since one of them is a single slide, there's no strain on resources.

    Glad it helped, Michele.

I use the same trick all the time to "marry" PPTs from various presenters into a single presentation (or what looks like one).  They can each have their own formatting, masters, etc w/o may having to do any work other than creating the links.

One thing to be aware of:  the presentations that get launched from a link in the "main" presentation will inherit the main presentation's mode settings; that is, if you set the main one to Kiosk mode, the linked presentations will run in Kiosk mode too, no matter what they're actually set for.
