    Hi Maria,

You won't need a product key, you need to deactivate your previous Installation and then re-install Office 365

On the new computer, go to https://office.com/myaccount and sign in using your Microsoft account, if prompted

    Select Install

Under Install information, locate the old laptop which Office was installed on

Select Deactivate Install to deactivate the Office installation

Then, click Install to install Office

Transfer / Stuff you can Do in MyAccount: Install / Deactivate / Offline Installer / Downgrade

    https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/wi...

log in to the MyAccount site http://office.com/myaccount

This page shows how to install Office AFTER the license has been activated. It also shows a few other things you can do in the MyAccount site.

Some of the answers can also be found in this FAQ, including how to “Share” your 365 Home subscription:

I hope this information helps. Please let me know if you have any more questions or require further help.

    Regards

I bought a new computer, downloaded Office 2013 but could not activate it. After a lot of work a Microsoft tech discovered that the computer arrived with trial version of Office 365 already installed.

    Hi,

Regarding this issue. When you buy Office without a subscription, you can install Office on a single computer. That's why you might see activation errors if you try to install Office on another computer, or on the same computer after a hardware change. If you follow the terms of the Microsoft License Terms, you can reactivate Office by telephone:

1/ In the Activation Wizard, select the option to activate by telephone. (If this option is disabled, you're using Office 365, which doesn't support telephone activation.)

    2/ Contact data https://support.office.com/en-gb/article/-telep...

3/ When prompted by the Product Activation Center, provide the Installation ID that's shown in the Activation Wizard under Step 2.

4/ The Product Activation Center will provide a Confirmation ID that you enter in the Activation Wizard under Step 3.

5/ Select Next and follow the prompts to complete the activation process.

If you have any questions. let me know
