Word track changes showing same author as two different tracked changes

Hi,

I'm tracking changes in a Word doc with two authors. However, today when I opened the document, it started showing MY edits as a third author. In the photo below, you can see that it is now logging my changes as First Name Last Name AND Last Name, First Name and using two separate colors for each one.

Any idea how to make Word understand that those two sets of edits are being done by the same author? (I'm also using a Mac.) Thanks in advance for your help!

    Hi acbc2,

It is not feasible to change the author in Word. If the account opened this file is different, the author will be different. If you did not sign in, Office will use a local user's name to mark the reviewing. May I ask whether this is the case?

    Regards,

    Alex

Are you making these changes on 2 different computers, or the same machine, just at different times?

Same machine, but I had closed and re-opened Word.
