If the syncing is not working, we suggest you back up all the content that not synced successfully to prevent data loss:
- On the toolbar in OneNote for Mac, click Notebooks > Notebooks > Copy Link to Notebook.
- In your Web browser, click inside the Address box, and press Command + V to paste the copied URL.
- Check the pages recently edited, see which content hasn't synced to OneDrive
- Create a new notebook in OneDrive Online and open it in OneNote Online
- Copy the content in the pages that didn't sync and paste them to the new notebook in the browser.
After the content was backed up, you could delete the pages in the Problematic notebook. Then open the notebook in OneNote client.
Before you open it in OneNote, you could close the problematic Notebook in OneNote client first. If you cannot close it, you could try signing off.
If you the notebook still won't sync when you open it in OneNote client, we suggest you move all the sections to a new notebook and use the new one instead.
For further troubleshooting, could you confirm the following information with us?
- Could you share your OneNote version(if you are not using 16.19) and MacOS version with us?
- Where is your notebook stored?
- When did this start to happen? Like after adding some content to a page or after a system update?
