Word is not snapping objects to objects

As title says, Word is not snapping objects to other objects as it does normally. This seems to still work in Powerpoint. Attached is my settings showing snap objects to other objects is selected. 

I've tried multiple objects and wrappings. Objects are still snapping to lines and grids if I turn that on.

    Hi,

    If this issue just happens recently, there could be some changes made in the Office application. It is best to isolate the issue using the following methods below:

    Note: The methods are listed in order. Kindly move to the next method if the previous one doesn't help the issue. 

    Method 1: 

    Open the Office app in safe mode on a Windows PC

    Method 2:

    Repair the Office application
