Any word on a fix for this issue in Office 2016?

Constant crashes when working in a chart, selecting data, changing stuff.

Latest Win10Ent and Office 2016 x64.

Hey Microsoft Office crew, this is causing major headaches for us, please fix it!

I've tried all the usual stuff, including the little fixit tools, nothing helps.

Yes I tried safe boot, safe mode, no add-ins etc.

Auto Error Reporting module zipped up a bunch of stuff and sent it off, but no reply.

Hi there, same issue here on four RDS servers, affecting 120 employees who can't open their Excel reporting with graphs.

Uninstalling KB4018319 does fix the issue, however, we wonder if we're safe when we decline this security update.

Our environment is Windows Server 2016 Standard virtual servers on Hyper-V.

Why does this take so long?

We have lots of excels files to reconstruct the Excel crashes.

Since this issue is known by Microsoft it doesn't help me to open a case.

It should help when Microsoft announces when a better security patch is expected,

    Microsoft,

Uninstalling KB4018319 is a workaround, not a fix. It has been 2 months, has a fix been published?

When the KB reinstalled on the next update cycle the issue recurred for users.

Please communicate when this will be addressed with a fix as uninstalling the KB and associated KBs and deferring them to prevent the issue is a security risk.

    Thank you

Sorry to hear about your trouble. I didn’t see that you mentioned trying to do an online repair of the application. In case you haven’t tried that step, here is the link to the instructions:
