Conditional Formatting horizontal cells only

Hi, I am OK formatting cells D10 to FG10 to highlight numeric duplication, but how can i globally format a whole section of horizontal cells, without formatting the vertical cells. For example I want to format all horizontal cells between D10 to FG10 and D27 to FG28.

I hope i have explained this OK.

You will have to do this for all horizontal ranges separately. Hence, do CF for D10 to FG10.

Now select D10:FG10, click Format Painter button two times in quick succession to enable Format Painter

Click D27 once to apply to D27:FG27

Click D28 once to apply to D28:FG28

Now press ESC to switch off Format Painter

D10:FG10  is a single row.

D27:FG28 is two adjacent rows.

What do you consider as vertical cells in either case?

    D10:D27 are not included in my reply.

    Do not select the entire block of cells from D10:FG28

    You must select the ranges separately as Vijay points out.
