Can't delete Planner tasks

I'm having trouble deleting two tasks from Planner. There are two tasks in the "My tasks" list under not started with a due date of 10/20/2017 and 09/28/2017. Unfortunately I have no idea where these were created. When I try to delete, complete or edit them, I get this message:

We couldn't update "meeting room inplannen via outlook". Please try again later. Technical details

I have tried this with Edge and Chrome and even Teams, so it's not a browser issue. Any help would be great!

    Hi Tom,

Could you share with us the following info?

    1. How do you create this plan, in Planner>New Plan or in Teams>under a team>New tab>Plan? You could access Outlook web app, in the left panel Groups section>check if you can see the plan.
    2. How do you delete the plan, In Planner>access that plan>click "...">Plan Settings>Delete this plan?

Based on my test, after deleting a plan, tasks will remain in My tasks page. I could click "...">Delete to remove tasks in this plan from My Tasks page.

    Regards,

    Tim

Thanks again for the reply Tim. The screenshot is from the desktop browser. I did what you asked and as I thought the tasks are from a plan I have deleted:

So the question remains, how can I delete them. I cannot open them, click on them or complete them.

Regarding your last question, I'm not a global admin, but I can contact them if you can tell me what I would need to ask them. :)

    Hi Tom,

Does your screenshot from Planner mobile app or Planner in desktop browser? Please access Planner with desktop browser, in the right-top, check if there is Group by. If yes, change it to group by plans, and then capture a screenshot for the result.

Meanwhile, is the issue related to these two no plan name tasks? You could click them. See if there is a pop-up, and then click the task link at bottom. Check if it will redirect you to a plan or get 404 page not found error.

Moreover, are you global admin in your tenant?

    Regards,

    Tim

    Thanks Tim,

The problem is that they do not belong to any Plan, there is no 'first row'.

Could it be that they belonged to a plan/group/team that was deleted? If so, why are these tasks still here?

    Hi Tom,

In My tasks, when we see a task, the first row is Plan name and the second row is task name. Click the task and get the details pop-up, in the bottom, click the task name link, it will redirect you to the plan page.

You could contact owner of this plan, let him check if he can remove the task for you. If you are the plan owner, create some new test tasks and remove them. Check if the issue is only related to these two specific tasks.

Meanwhile, when you access Office portal (https://portal.office.com) with your work/school account, is there Outlook tile in your app launcher? We want to know if you have Exchange Online license and mail box.

    Best regards,

    Tim
