Session timeout too short

I'd like to be able to stay logged into Office 365 Outlook mail for more time on my business account. I'm currently being logged out roughly once a day. My previous office 365 account would allow me to stay logged in for a week or more at a time.

I followed the instructions located at this locked post: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice\_o365admin/keep-getting-kicked-off-of-office-365-outlook/29b0cf07-266f-48c9-9d2a-494ddf098e23?auth=1

However, when I try to make the change, it says the limit is 8 hours. How can this be extended to say 96 hours? Is this even the right area for the session duration? It feels like I am logged in for longer than 6 hours but this issue has become more aggressive in the last week (new patch?).

Hi Tim C_abc,

Greetings. It is my pleasure to reply to your case here.

The limit for the OWA timeout session is 8 hours (the same as your performance). You can refer to my screenshot.

Actually, to stay logged in is just an ideal thought. Suppose that it will disconnect from the network or power off situation.

However, I agree with you that it could be a longer time for the session. As a result, would you please not mean to leave a feedback to our related team about it via https://outlook.uservoice.com/ to get your voice heard? Customers valuable comments will help better our products and services. We thanks for your understanding and effort.

Regards,

Alan

    Hello

    A pleasure to help you.

The default limit when you start Outlook in the web can only be open 6 hours, this value can be modified but through Power Shell with the Set-OrganizationConfig syntax.

    Session timeouts for Office 365

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office365/ente... -37a5c116-5b07-4f70-8333-5b86fd2c3c40

The syntax to execute would be like this.

    Set-OrganizationConfig -ActivityBasedAuthenticationTimeoutInterval <08:00:00>

Let me know to indicate the necessary steps.

    regards
