Removing orphan figure reference

I deleted a figure with a caption, but it still appears in my list of figures. I updated all the references but it still shows the deleted figure caption in the list of figures. So when I add figures now, they are not sequenced properly. How do I get rid of the orphaned figure caption in the list of figures?

Are you using Track Changes?

I was. I just now landed on your previous thread, turned off the tracking, and was able to get rid of the orphaned reference. Thank you!
