OneNote Quick notes when onenote not open

All the help sites for OneNote Tell me to "On your keyboard, press Windows logo + N."   

Create a Quick Note when OneNote isn’t running

You can create a Quick Note even if you haven’t opened OneNote.

  1. On your keyboard, press Windows+N
  2. Type your note in the small note window.
  3. To open additional Quick Notes after OneNote running, press Windows+Alt+N on your keyboard.  So each time I try this nothing happens, no change of screen or window or no place to type a note. So how do solve this ?                                                                    I'm up to date running Windows 10 and Office 365, have OneNote 2016 and Windows 10 OneNote also have OneNote online            installed. So how do I get this working?                                                                                                                                                        One other question where do I find OneNote Clipper (OneNote Icon with scissors on Icon) so if I want to save info. I can just  insert it to quick note.   Thanks to anyone that can help.

    I found OneNote web clipper at MS store, installed on one of my pc's  and now windows logo key + n opens new Quicknote on all 3 of my pc's and found new quicknote icon in task bar hidden icons and all work,

     One other note I found a tread on OneNote  stating Windows key +N doesn't work on windows 10 onenote but does work on Office OneNote 2016, I had both on my Pc's but it took a couple days for the pc's to realize it.

    Try opening the OneNote app on your computer. Doe that bring it back?

    No I don't have any OneNote Icons on my system tray or in the hidden icons section. Where do I get it from

    Does your system tray, or even the hidden part of the system tray have the OneNote New quick note icon?
