Can someone please help me.  The active x scroll bars I use in my spreadsheets have suddenly stopped working.  How do I fix this?

Hi Andreas, I did a search for MSForms.exd files and none were found.  I now have another problem.  The right click mouse function has now ceased to operate eg the menu doesn't come up when I want to copy or delete a workbook in an excel file.  Same with highlighting a cell and right clicking no menu comes up.

This is really weird.  When I copy an excel file to my old laptop which has excel 2003 on it all functions work fine.

Does this happen in only one workbook or others?

Make a backup of the workbook

    If one sheet

    Open excel click on open

Browse to the workbook select this next to open will be a down arrow, click on this and select open and repair

Just a shot into the dark:

    Close all programs

Search for all files named MSForms.exd on your PC and delete them

Open your Excel file and test the behavior

    Does that fix the issue?

    Andreas.

I did both repairs which included reinstalling Office and it did no good.

The freezing of the scroll bar happened all of a sudden just recently.  I need to fix this quickly.

    Hi there,

I would try an office repair

In the search bar type appwiz.cpl and press enter

This should load the list of applications installed on your machine

Amongst the list you should see office.

Click on this and select change

    Then select quick repair

    Reboot your machine

Failing this chose the other repair option reboot and try again!

Let me know how this goes

    Thanks
